Reynaldo’s Mexican Food Company, LLC is a food manufacturer headquartered in Vernon, CA. RMF operates seven food processing plants in Southern California and also maintain nine warehouse/distribution centers throughout the Western United States. They supply tradtional Hispanic foods to major retailers including Wal-Mart Super Centers, Sam's Club, and Costco. |

| Business Challenge: |
RMF had outsourced their infrastructure to an IT vendor’s location. The IT vendor was not proactive in maintaining the network and was unresponsive to problems when things eventually would crash. When system failures would occur, it was expensive to fix, and because of a lack of due diligence on the part of their IT vendor, the “fixes” usually caused subsequent problems; that were also expensive to fix. These problems were not only affecting RMF’s ability to function efficiently as a company, but was also taking a large toll on them financially. |

| PCM's Solution: |
RMF hired a new CFO who had previously contracted PCM on several other projects, and was aware of PCM’s performance record. On PCM’s recommendation he advised the executive management team at RMF that the company would be better served by moving their infrastructure back in house and having PCM redesign and maintain their network. In addition to RMF’s infrastructure already in place, PCM added two domain controllers for redundancy and to insure up time of mission critical data and applications, a managed 24 port switch for control and monitoring of the network, a firewall for VPN tunneling and secure incoming connections, and several wireless access points for handheld devices in the warehouse. |

| Client Return on Investment: |
RMF’s network maintenance costs have been almost cut in half. Their warehouse/distribution centers are now connected to the network and update inventory in real time, allowing them to not only be more precise in giving customers ETA’s of merchandise, but also move closer to a JIT inventory model. Increased server uptime has also saved the company thousands of dollars in lost man hours. |
